Cameron Scrimgeour is a photographer based in Bedford, England.
He is interested in exploring the sense of places found locally and more widely across Great Britain, and especially the way external forces bring friction within the places he documents, always with the post-industrial history of these people and places in mind. His work also has an eye to the sociopolitical tensions produced by the complex class system within the UK, and people’s movement within it.
His work is documentary in nature, exploring these topics in a subtle, contemplative tone, and using close attention to light, landscape, and portraiture.
He has published projects in publications including the zine Give Me Shelter, and has exhibited work in national exhibitions including the British Culture Archive: Documenting Your Community, Brighton 2024.
Cameron is available for commission in the UK and further afield.
